There are basically four different types of garage door systems:-

 

 

a) We have the always popular up and over type operating mechanism, which comes in a varied choice of materials, i.e. galvanised-steel, timber, glass-reinforced plastic and ABS plastic. Various standard to made-to-measure sizes are readily available, and all come with Yale-type security systems and maintenance-free door finishes.

 

b) Insulated folding sectional doors.

 

 

 

 

 

c) Insulated roller shutter doors.

Roller shutter door systems are the ideal solution where space on the driveway is at a premium or where the entrance into the the garage is narrow. The door curtain rolls up around a drum, with no out-swing as it opens and closes, allowing you to park right up to the door. Also, because it rolls into a drum, this eliminates the need for unsightly tracks hanging from the garage ceiling, giving you more of your garage back for storage, etc.

Roller shutters come in a large variety of colours, and most come fully automated as standard, with 2 remote controls.

 

 

 

d) Traditional side-hinged doors.

This ever-popular seller gives the client very simple personal access. Always the hinged garage door comes in to its own when internal obstructions in the garage render up and over and folding sectional door systems a non-starter. Today's side-hinged doors come complete with Yale-type evro-profile locking systems and door stays to prevent excess opening travel. They are made in a large variety of styles and sizes to suit any opening up to nine-feet wide.
